Minnesota is home to a large contingent of dedicated bicyclists. The bicycling culture here is infectious and I think most Minnesotans have some affinity towards bikes.
These guys may not be in Minnesota but this wonderfully filmed video on Brooklyn-based 718 Cyclery sparks my love for bicycles and the process of building one. 718 Cyclery is a unique bike shop that works one-on-one with customers to custom build a bike to feed their needs. I love how he describes his process in building bikes and satisfaction he receives when working closely with customers. I might have just been convinced to take-up a project bike this summer.
This movie proved to be valuable studying material for my European trip.
A friend turned me onto this low-budget documentary called Catfish with the request that I don’t watch any previews or read any reviews. I was weary to do so but after watching this film I’m glad I did. This was engaging within the first few minutes. It’s a fantastic documentary that truly highlights how powerful social media can be. That’s all I’ll say. So please, go rent this one and watch it. I need people to discuss this flick with because it blew me away.
Sometimes we engage in a rousing game of peekaboo.
