When its snowing and cold outside, board games with friends can make for a great alternative to Saturday night outings. My pal BW introduced us to the game Sequence for the first time a couple weekends ago and I actually really enjoy it. I must be showing signs of old age because I’m liking board game nights with drinks on the side.

My friends and I went to Lyndale Tap House last night to unwind and avoid the Halloween calamity around town. At some point during the night my pal DF got a hold of my camera and took a few snapshots. This is one of my favorites he captured and that’s not because my mug is in it. It’s because he recorded a great moment of joy between all of us. For me that’s why I love photographing. It’s a physical (or digital) record of a moment in your life that you otherwise might forget over time. Now if only I could remember what it was we were laughing about.
