Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together. - John Ruskin

I finally finished editing my Europe photos and photo series to the tune of Dr. Seuss’s book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! I’ll post the series later this week but for now I will start posting photos I didn’t use in the series.
This photo was taken in the Vatican Museum, where the Sistine Chapel is housed. It is undoubtedly one of the most impressive art museums in the world. The chapel and ceiling painting by Michaelangelo is a brilliantly moving piece. Unfortunately, they don’t allow photography within the chapel so I wasn’t able to snap some photos. Never the less, I hope you enjoy the photos below. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week.
The Science Museum of Minnesota today opens a brilliant and rare exhibit that features the world’s oldest known biblical writings.
The 2,000 year old Dead Sea Scrolls are on exhibit from now through October 24. These scrolls are regarded as one of the most significant archeological finds in the 20th century. This is a definite must see in my opinion.
If you’re grimacing over the thought of paying for parking, Metro Transit has you covered. Free bus rides are available over the weekend, March 12-14, for those seeing the Dead Sea Scroll exhibit. Not a bad deal.
Check out the Science Museum’s Web page for more info on the exhibit and to download the bus pass.
