Rock and roll! Look at what just arrived in the mail for me. My Panasonic GX1 is here. I can’t wait to get to know her better.
While in Austria, I ordered an Almdudler to try after the waitress told me it was a local lemonade. The drink is so much more than that. It’s a beautifully concocted lemon soda made in Austria. I fell in love immediately. I need to track it down now that I’m back stateside.

While exploring Florence, Italy, at night, a local photography student approached us to ask if we would pose for her project. They were learning to use a remote flash and umbrella mounting at night.
My travel mates were reluctant so I stepped up to the plate. Unfortunately, I forgot the gal’s name who was shooting me but it was neat to watch her work. Since I have no Italian language skills and she had average English skills, it was fun to hear her describe to me what she was doing and how she was trying to adjust her camera to get a better shot for me.
After the shoot, I gave her my e-mail address and permission to use my images in her portfolio and other school projects. I haven’t received the photo yet from her, which bums me out. Hopefully she’ll e-mail me the final photo sometime and I can share it with you. If not, at least somewhere in Italy a picture of my mug is in a young photographer’s portfolio. That’s pretty cool too.
Traveling with my close friends to Europe was a tremendous experience, however, we still wore on each after spending every waking moment together for two straight weeks. To try to relieve a bit of tension, we found moments throughout the trip to relieve some pent-up aggression on each other. It was, perhaps, a bit juvenile but necessary. Here are some examples of our shenanigans via slideshow.
Invader has a great world map showing where his other street art pieces can be found. Check it out on his Web site.
